Man stole rental vehicle from St. Pöltner car dealership, in Salzburg war terminus

A few hours after a car was stolen in St. Pölten on Monday, a suspect was arrested in Salzburg. The 32-year-old is said to have stolen the key from a car dealership shortly before 5:30 a.m. and stole a rental vehicle parked on the company premises. According to the police broadcast on Tuesday, after the driver had refueled without paying, he was arrested in Puch near Hallein (Hallein district) and taken to the St. Pölten prison.
Filled up without paying
The company burglary was reported in the early hours of the morning. According to the executive, the rental vehicle is worth around 40,000 euros. At 8.15 a.m., the suspect left a gas station in Herzogenburg (St. Pölten district) without paying the bill of around 100 euros.
In the course of the search, the stolen car was located in Salzburg, and a local police patrol discovered the car in a parking lot in the morning. The suspect St. Pöltner, who was in the vicinity, was arrested. The Austrian citizen agreed to the sending. Investigations are underway into other similar crimes.
