Government extends Corona aid until the end of June – Liechtenstein
VADUZ – In connection with the economic consequences of the corona pandemic, the government decided at its last meeting to extend the hardship subsidy and the corona short-time work compensation for the second quarter of 2022. Then they should no longer be needed, i.e. the government.
The hardship grant supports companies that are particularly affected by the economic consequences of the pandemic. This includes in particular the catering and hotel industry as well as the event and fitness industry.
Sectors still affected
Until the end of March, there is currently the possibility of receiving hardship grants and corona-related short-time work compensation. “Despite the extensive lifting of restrictions and the economic recovery, there are still sectors that are more severely affected by the economic consequences of the pandemic,” the government said on Tuesday.
For this reason, the period of validity of the directive on support for companies in particularly affected sectors during the corona pandemic and the ordinance on temporary measures in the area of unemployment insurance in connection with the corona virus will be extended until the end of June. In addition to the state’s services, the municipalities have also decided to extend their support program by a further three months until the end of June 2022.
“The government currently assumes that the support services can be discontinued altogether after the second quarter,” the statement continues.
More information about the requirements for these support services is available here accessible.
