Portugal closes with six WPS World Series adapted swimming records

Portugal closed with six adapted swimming sets to participate in the WPS World Series Lignano Sabbiadoro, which took place in Italy, after Paralympic swimmer Marco Meneses set a new one in the 400 meters freestyle S11.
Marco Menese, improved the previous maximum (4.48.53 minutes), which 5 minutes from the distance, when swimming the final of the position 4.48.53, concluding the race in the sixth position.
In previous rounds, the swimmer from Associação O Crasto had already established records of the 100 freestyles and 200 strokes.
Tomás Cordeiro (U9), who in the previous rounds won the 200 youth styles up to 18 years and was bronze in the men’s 100 breaststroke, ended this Sunday the final of the 100 mariposa for young people, with 1.05.56 minutes, surpassing his personal maximum (1.06 .08).
Susana Veiga (W9) was seventh in the 400-metre freestyle final, after having been fifth in the final 50-metre freestyle event and sixth in the 100-metre freestyle.
In this WPS World Series competition, the swimmers’ rankings are determined based on the value (points) awarded to each time (time) provided, with all disability board categories competing in each style.
