France is ahead of Slovenia in the FIBA world rankings for men, represented by Nike

France returned to the top 4
The last qualifying window for the 2023 World Cup brought one shift among the top five. France exchanged places with Slovenia and after two victories over Portugal ranked fourth from five – 94-56 at home and 69-56 in Portugal. These two victories secured Les Bleus qualifying for the second round of European qualifiers. Slovenia, meanwhile, lost twice to Finland, away with 86:76 and then at home with 83:79.
With the second change in the top 10, Greece moved ahead of Italy to 9th place. The Greeks came away with two victories over Turkey – 72-71 at home and 76-67 in Istanbul – while Italy experienced a double overtime in Iceland 107-105, then came back and won 95-87 at home over northern Europeans. .

Meanwhile, Kazakhstan had a strong window in Asia with victories over Iran (73-69) and Bahrain (95-48) to reach the second round 4-0 and jump two places in the world rankings to 68. Lebanon rose by one place at 54 after a 74-63 defeat in Jordan and an 81-68 victory in Saudi Arabia.
South Sudan is a growing power
The biggest shift in the men’s world rankings was South Sudan, which made its World Cup qualifiers for many years with victories over Rwanda (68-56), FIBA AfroBasket 2021 champions Tunisia (72-64) and Cameroon (74-68). ). the window played in Senegal.
