Salzburg – meters in altitude for a good cause – 12,000 euros collected for the Salzburg Children’s Cancer Aid
Salzburg – At the first Mein.Bezirk ski touring charity Dachstein West, 12,000 euros were collected for the Salzburg Children’s Cancer Aid.

Bright sunshine and a wonderful panorama – under optimal conditions, the Russbacher Hornspitz last Saturday, the March 5th, the first publication of the “My.District Ski Touring Charity Dachstein West”. 430 participants have completed at least one ascent of 610 meters for a good cause, because every ascent provides sponsorship money in the donation pot. In total, a donation of around 15,000 euros was raised! the most of it goes to a children in need: Dominik Steinbichler from the Salzburg Children’s Cancer Aid accepted a donation check for 12,000 euros at the award ceremony in the “Go-Gosau Alm”. The donations deposited are used to support a reforestation project and mountain rescue.
The victims of the war in Ukraine were also commemorated on site: In return for a voluntary donation for Ukraine refugees, participants and spectators could choose a music they wanted. along this path still more than 500 euros for people in Not charged.
“We are happy that we were able to raise such a large sum for the Salzburg Children’s Cancer Aid. This would not have been possible without our motivated participants, helpers and sponsors,” says Rupert Schiefer, Managing Director of Bergbahnen Dachstein West GmbH, thanking everyone involved.
