Ryanair also added that those cancellations will lead to the “loss of 150 well-paid jobs” at Humberto Delgado airport.
“We regret this planned for all passengers of the President 19 cancellation and the loss due to the blocking of slots not used by TAP in the summer of 202, in Lisbon”, Michael O`Leary, on the same date, notes.
The low-cost airline has twice appealed to the Prime Minister, António Costa, to release slots (slots) not used by TAP until March 4, indicating that, if not happened, you would have to cancel routes.
“Our last ministers today to ask the Prime Minister, António Costa, for help, resulted in a total of zero responses”, reads the statement sent.
However, Ryanair said that three aircraft and the 19 missed routes will return to Lisbon in October 2022, for the winter schedule, “since there are enough `slots` in winter” for those flights.
