Covid-19: Mainland Portugal remains on alert for another 15 days
The Council of Ministers even implemented measures for a new phase of the pandemic
Mainland Portugal will remain on alert due to covid-19, until 23:59 on March 22, according to a resolution of the Council of Ministers published today in the Diário da República.
The resolution enters into force today.
“Notwithstanding the epidemiological situation of all cases caused by the covid9 disease pandemic has maintained its positive evolution since the entry into force in conjunction with the resolution of the Council of New Ministers-2, level of evolution by SARS as regards the number of international citizens, including those in intensive care -, the current situation that is considered a continental alert situation throughout the national territory an additional period of 15 days”, reads the document.
The text to update the alert situation is still remembered throughout the mainland, remaining as rules/revisions still by the Resolution of the Council of Ministers No. 25-A 2022, of February 18.
At the time, mainland Portugal was no longer in a situation of calamity.
The calamity situation, the highest level of response, was in effect since December 1, 2021.
