The Secretary of State for Internal Affairs and the new Director General of the ISS meet the Capitani di Castello
At the center of the discussion are the prospects for the future development of the Institute for Social Security and the collaboration strategies with all the entities present in the Territory. SdS Tonnini: “Sharing continues, through a new dialogue also from the health point of view with the representatives of our Community”. The prospects for the future development of the Institute for Social Security with a view to ever greater collaboration with all the realities of the country system and greater integration between the services of the Hospital and the territory: these are the macro themes of the comparison that it was held in recent days, between the Secretary of State for Internal Affairs, Elena Tonnini, the Captains of Castello and the new Director General of the Institute for Social Security, Francesco Bevere. The meeting, of a cognitive but also operational and programmatic nature, took place in an atmosphere of cordiality and collaboration, during which a survey of the current situation of San Marino healthcare was carried out, also from the point of view of the various existing structures. and then go into detail on the development lines already partially identified in the report of the new Director General, approved by the Permanent Health Council Commission. Among the aspects most related to the needs of the various Castles, the situation of General Medicine, the need to adapt the locations of the main and peripheral clinics, the operation of pharmacies and the possibility of developing decentralized specialized services provided to the Hospital. . Projects therefore, which will concern the development of the San Marino health system in the coming years, in the guarantee – it was strongly reaffirmed by all present – of a true universal health care that sees the health needs of the person at the center. To insert the meeting the Secretary of State Elena Tonnini, who changed the law as “With the reform of the law on the councils approved in 2020, the Captains of have acquired greater administrative and managerial autonomy; in 2021 they assumed a strategic role in the field of Civil Protection volunteering. We hope that from now on it can also be a point of reference in our health system. No one better than them knows and experiences the internal dynamics of the Castles every day “. The General Manager Francesco Bevere specified how “in the first few months of our mandate we are working on the data at our disposal, including those concerning the health needs of the San Marino citizens, to direct and intervene, where necessary, with quick, targeted and calibrated choices. And precisely in the interventions on the territory – he remarked -, the relationship between ISS and Giunte di Castello becomes of fundamental importance “. Hence the request to the nine Captains present, indicate those situations that the general structure is unable to intercept the needs of those citizens who in each Castle have difficulty in moving from home to reach the hospital. On the part of the Capitani di Castello some of the main problems and criticalities reported by the citizens were illustrated, with reference also to the structural and technical situation of the Health Centers and peripheral clinics. Reiterated in this regard by the Director of the ISS and the Secretary of State for Internal Affairs, the intention to intervene rapidly on various clinics, even with major renovations. Great attention was given above all to the situation of basic medicine and to the development of the central health system: the guiding idea is to restructure the service and extend the range of services to some of the specialized ones, which today can be carried out by only at the State Hospital, also in view of the new hospital, which has become more and more, a necessary and urgent need for the country.
