Helsinki’s nightclubs are now open with the lifting of corona restrictions
Nightlife inside Helsinki is ready for a major boost when interest rate restrictions in the Finnish capital were finally lifted on Monday, February 28. Finland, like several European countries, has eliminated the preventive social distances and mandatory vaccination requirements for nightclubs and events. Nightlife around the world has been in danger since the outbreak of the coronavirus, but now we have begun to take very significant steps towards normal, which is a really positive sign.
According to previous rules, Helsinki clubs had to stop offering alcohol to their customers at 11 pm, while the closing time was decided to be 12 noon. For example, France, Sweden and Denmark had lifted restrictions even before Finland decided to join the party. Here’s what Managing director from Finnish Hospitality Association Timo Lappi had to say about this decision –
“Monday is inherently a quiet day at nightclubs, so it’s hard to say how many are open then. But this is a day of joy, as restaurants can recall long-term layoffs. “
