Portugal received 528 protected protection requests – Observer
Portugal received since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine 1,528 protection requestsaccording to an update made this Saturday to Lusa by the Foreigners and Borders Service (SEF).
The data refer to the period between February 24 and the end of today.
By the end of Friday, 1,417 requests had been registered.

Second, permission is allowed for a form of programmed protection, extended for one year, allowed for a duration of six extensions.
These requests can be submitted to the national support centers for the integration of migrants and to the regional offices of the SEF.
The Foreigners and Borders Service has made available, since Thursday and throughout the country, 24 service desks dedicated exclusively to Ukrainian citizens.
The SEF passed this Saturday to Lisbon Airport a structure to register requests for processed protection for Ukrainian citizens arriving in Portugal by air.
According to the United Nations, the attacks have already caused more than 1.2 million refugees.
