Claudia Entleitner is the new Vice President of the LK Salzburg
After 14 years as Vice-President Elisabeth Hölzl resigned today. State farmer Claudia Entleitner was elected as her successor by the general assembly of the Salzburg Chamber of Agriculture. The Piesendorf native has been a Salzburg state farmer since October 2019 and has already gained experience in various political functions. For example as a local farmer in the municipality of Piesendorf, in the district committee of the BBK Pinzgau, as a district farmer and as a councilor for agriculture and committee chairwoman of the committee on family, law and taxes. “I am really looking forward to my new task and I would like to thank everyone for the trust they have placed in me,” said Entleitner, pleased about her election as Vice President. “Together with Rupert Quehenberger, I would like to work to ensure that we can maintain our small-scale agriculture and ensure practicable framework conditions for the farmers.”
Youth and appreciation for rural achievements
“The work for the young farmers is particularly close to my heart. They are our future and I want to give them the best possible support, education and training. At the same time, it is my goal to get them excited about working in advocacy again. Because just sitting at home and whining doesn’t help and who better to represent our interests than we farmers,” says Entleitner about their political goals. “In addition, I would like to place a stronger focus on raising awareness among the population. Many people are not aware of the services that we farmers provide every day. Most have lost touch with agriculture. At the same time, however, the demands on our work are increasing – both on the products and the framework conditions, I am thinking here of animal welfare, for example. Expectations and reality have to be reconciled and the appreciation for our high-quality products has to be further increased,” concludes Entleitner.
