Juventude Pacense after tonight’s Portuguese Cup quarters clearance lost from the HC Cup final at the Municipal Pavilion, after penalty kicks (5-4).
During the regular time the game was only in the morning and there was only emotion in the final part, when Juventude Pacense opened the scoring, by Gonçalo Neto with 6:24 of the end. A goal that opens up the prospects of passing to JP, but which had a ready answer from Valença who a minute later restored equality through Jorge Faria. The game ended evenly (1-1) and not even the two-minute extra time could undo the balance between two teams that compete in the north zone of the 2nd national division.
The decision was then only for the marking of penalties, moment where Valença HC was more effective when making 4 times the JP on 3 occasions.
The presence of the Pacense team in the Portuguese Cup is for the round of 16 of the competition, after having eliminated HA Cambra in the previous round, winning 6-4 at the Municipal Pavilion, and in the 32nd round, having gone to the south bank to eliminate the Barreiro Factory (9-3).
Upon passing this story, Valença HC will receive the winner of the OC Barcelos/Parede FC game in the quarters of the Cup final, scheduled for the 12th of this month.
