From Geneva to Paris for SRF: Mirjam Mathis will be France correspondent in late summer
Miriam Mathis following of Alexandra Gübser as France correspondent for Swiss radio and television (SRF). Gubser is moving to Germany for the station as SRF correspondent.
Mathis has been working for SRF as a correspondent in western Switzerland since 2014, where she followed international conferences and the peace negotiations in Syria as a UN reporter.
“She was also deployed several times on cantonal election and voting Sundays in Geneva and Vaud. As a special correspondent in the 2017 presidential elections, they were able to gain initial experience in France,” writes SRF about 36-year-old Mathis.
Mirjam Mathis then in Geneva and Madrid and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations, she completed the Master’s course in journalism at the MAZ.
“From 2011 she completed the trimedial stage course at SRF, where she also made contributions for the ‘Rundschau’ and ‘Tagesschau online’ in addition to the regional journal Central Switzerland,” it continues. Mirjam Mathis then worked as an editor and moderator for the regional journal Central Switzerland at Radio SRF.
She will take up the post of correspondent in Paris in late summer.
