FC Red Bull Salzburg: Is BVB considering other DFB team strikers as an Adeyemi alternative? – Bundesliga
According to Sky information, the claims are from FC Red Bull Salzburg with Karim Adeyemi – with 14 goals top scorer in the Admiral Bundesliga and tonight a guest in the follow-up game at LASK in Pasching (from 8:30 p.m. in the League portal live ticker) – compared to the German runner-up Borussia Dortmund with 40 million euros too high. Therefore, BVB is speculating about an alternative attacker and another DFB national striker: Timo Werner.
According to SKY, concrete negotiations regarding the 25-year-old from Stuttgart are not yet in progress. The 47-time DFB national player (21 goals) would definitely fit into the profile of requirements for fast-paced football and switching games of the team of former Salzburg coach Marco Rose. In addition, Timo Werner has proven his goal threat in the German Bundesliga. In 222 games for VfB Stuttgart and RB Leipzig, the Champions League winner (with Chelsea London) scored 91 times – plus 42 assists.
In January this year, the fast striker made two brief appearances in the team of German head coach Thomas Tuchel in the English Premier League and recently played no role. Overall, Werner scored 18 goals (17 assists) in 75 games for Chelsea.

Werner’s advisor transferred the youngest Süle to BVB
Timo Werner’s advisor – Volker Struth – has good connections to BVB and only brought about the spectacular transfer of Niklas Süle from FC Bayern Munich to the “arch-rival” in the Ruhr area. However, money could be the sticking point.
Werner is moving from Leipzig to London in the summer of 2020 for over 50 million euros and is said to have a salary of 16 million euros there. Will BVB cut corners? Captain Marco Reus gets 12 million euros as a top earner. As SKY wants to know, however, no transfer is being forced at Chelsea for the German national player, who needs match practice for his World Cup ambitions in Qatar in winter. The English top club, which was supported for years by patron Roman Abramovich (note: the Chelsea owner partially withdrew recently), is at least willing to talk.
BVB: 30 million pain limit for Adeyemi?
How far a transfer with Timo Werner becomes acute is probably also due to his DFB teammate Karim Adeyemi. As SKY said, Borussia Dortmund agrees with the 20-year-old striker talent of FC Red Bull Salzburg. However, the Austrian series champion wants more than 40 million euros, but BVB is not prepared to pay more than 30 million euros plus bonuses.
But who knows, in winter 2020 BVB and RB Salzburg also agreed on Erling Braut Haaland…
