Russians are ″insecure″ in Portugal and appeal to the Portuguese Government
The Russians in Portugal received more and more threats. The Russian Pushkin Association started receiving complaints early on in the conflict in Ukraine, but President Anna Pogrebtsova tells TSF that she has already lost count of the threats and insults.
“Most threats arrive through social networks, others arrive by private messages or by phone calls”, highlighting the president of this Russian association in Portugal, adding that they are “physical threats, sensations or calls”.

Thus, Russians in Portugal are insecure and, therefore, make a request to the Portuguese Government. “I hope that the Portuguese will take a fair position and see the values of justice as well. Understand the cranial people with whom we are adjusting freedom, but because I understand that this war does not deviate”.

The Russian embassy in Lisbon left a verbal authorization for citizens living in Portugal to report any physical or verbal threat to the national authorities.
In a note published on the official website, the Russian embassy recalls that cases of provocation, threats and prejudice must be denounced. Russian citizens should contact the consular service authority if they do not feel safe.
