Longoria assures him, Marseille will be his “last adventure in high-level football”
Guest of Rothen ignites this Tuesday live from Marseille, the president of OM Pablo Longoria surprised by announcing that he would “never occupy this type of position again in another club”, justifying his decision by a passion which could not be matched.
A year and a half after his arrival at OM, Pablo Longoria does not see his future elsewhere than in Marseille. The president of the club, who also in fact wears the cap of sports director, named this Tuesday at the microphone of RMC that he could not officiate in another club, considering “impossible to have this same level of passion”.
“If I play football, it’s for passion”
“I consider OM to be my last high-level adventure in the world of football, he said at the end of the show Rothen ignites, relocated especially to the Commanderie. After this type of experience, it’s a strong message, but I won’t be in the market. I will never work in this type of position at another club again”.
Pablo Longoria, without really knowing what he will do exactly once the Marseille chapter is closed, hopes that he will be given enough time to express himself: “My dream is to have my time in Marseille, after my dream would be to go back to travel and become a recruiter again.” “If I play football, it’s for passion,” he repeats.
“Impossible to live on the same level of feeling and passion”
A future position as sports director or club president does not seem to interest him. “I know it’s impossible to experience the same level of feeling and passion, it would be frustrating to work at other clubs and have the same level of responsibility. The Spanish leader is therefore living his last experience in this type of position, at only 35 years old.
