The poll puts Golob’s new freedom movement ahead of the ruling SDS
STAFebruary 28, 2022 – The Liberation Movement of Robert Golob is ahead of Prime Minister Janez Janša’s Democrats (SDS) in the latest POP TV poll, which this time also includes parties that did not run in the previous elections.
The movement for freedom, which was not in the poll last month, ranked 17.4%, a percentage point ahead of the SDS, which remained unchanged as last month, according to a poll conducted on Sunday.

The new party seems to have ruined the approval ratings of center-left opposition parties.
Thus, the Social Democrats (SD) and the Left lost their position, the former by 2.7 points to 8.6% and the latter by 1.5 points to 6.1%.
Similarly, the Marjan Šarc Party (LMŠ) lost two points to 4.3%, while the Alenka Bratušek Party (SAB) lost 1.1 points to 3.2%.
Both were overtaken by another newcomer to the list, the Connecting Slovenia Alliance, which had 4.8% of the vote, slightly above the Nova Slovenija coalition, which remained at 4.5%.
Two more new customers are over 2%. Our country, a party founded by former Agriculture Minister Aleksandra Pivec, received 2.5%, while Resni.ca, which led anti-vaccination protests in the autumn, received 2.1%, the same as the Pirate Party.
The two existing parliamentary players, the National Party (SNS) and the Pensioners’ Party (DeSUS), are around one per cent.
With the arrival of new parties, the number of undecided parties decreased by as many as nine points to 13.6%, while the share of those who would not vote for any party decreased only slightly, to 7.6%.
President Borut Pahor returned to the top of the list of politicians’ popularity and overtook Health Minister Janez Poklukar. Pigeon won one place for third place.
The government’s assessment deteriorated slightly, with 32.3% supporting it, 1.5 points less than last month, while the share of those who disapprove of its work rose by half a point to 56.8%. .
The survey was conducted by Mediana between 21 and 24 February and involved 715 respondents.
