The grip of the pandemic on Friuli Venezia Giulia is loosened
Today in Friuli Venezia Giulia 44 new infections have been detected on 1,480 molecular swabs, with a positive percentage of 2.97%. Furthermore, 2,191 rapid antigenic tests have been carried out, from which 142 cases (6.48%) were detected. There are 15 people hospitalized in intensive care, while 214 patients are hospitalized in other departments. This was announced by the deputy governor of the Region with responsibility for Health Riccardo Riccardi. As for the spread of the virus among the population, the most affected group is 40-49 (20.43%), followed by 30-39 (13.98%) and 20-29 years ( 13.44%).
Today there are 3 deaths: an 87-year-old woman from Cormons (who died in hospital), an 84-year-old man from Udine (who died in hospital) and an 83-year-old woman from Udine (who died in hospital). Overall deaths amounted to 4,776, with the following territorial subdivision: 1,167 in Trieste, 2,279 in Udine, 910 in Pordenone and 420 in Gorizia. The totally healed are 284,334, the clinically healed 253, while the people in isolation drop to 18,583. Since the beginning of the pandemic in Friuli Venezia Giulia, a total of 308,175 people have been positive with the following territorial division: 66,556 in Trieste, 127,886 in Udine, 74,552 in Pordenone, 34,701 in Gorizia and 4,480 from outside the region. The total number of infections was reduced by one unit following the review of a case in the Pordenone area.
As far as the regional health system is concerned, the following positives were found: in the Giuliano Isontina university health agency a nurse and a therapist; 3 nurses, a social health worker, a midwife and a technician in the Friuli Centrale University Healthcare Company; in the Western Friuli health authority an organic. With regard to residences for the elderly in Friuli Venezia Giulia, the infection of 2 guests and an operator was recorded.
