Faster broadband connection to SATO’s homes – SATO and Telia

SATO’s rental apartments * will receive a faster broadband connection during the spring of 2022 when the speed included in the rent rises to 50 Mbps. Some SATO rental apartments even get free condominium broadband for up to 100 people Mbps.
SATO, one of Finland’s largest providers of rental housing, and the communications service company Telia have been cooperating since 2005 and together offer smoother services to residents. Telia’s 10/10 Mbps broadband and cable television service is currently available to residents free of charge in approximately 24,000 SATO rental apartments connected to Telia’s fiber-optic network. This spring, these SATO homes will have even faster broadband connections.

The importance of high-speed broadband has been particularly evident to many of our residents during the COVID-19 pandemic as they have spent more time at home. We are now offering our residents even faster free broadband together with Telia, ”says SATO’s Commercial Director. Janne Ojalehto.

Changes in the basic broadband speed will be implemented on a property-by-property basis, and the first homes will receive faster broadband as early as 2022. Residents of SATO’s rental apartments connected to Telia’s fiber-optic network will receive broadband at 50 Mbps. free of charge by 31 May. The cooperation between SATO and Telia also enables low prices for additional speeds and services for SATO’s customers. Some SATO homes will have residential broadband at speeds of up to 1,000 Mbps.
The 100 Mbps broadband connection included in the rent will be installed in the following SATO rental apartments during the spring of 2022: Atlantinkatu 12, Jätkäsaari, Helsinki; Juhani Ahon draws 12-14, Eira, Helsinki and Tahkonkuja 1 E, CupTurku.
SATO residents will receive instructions on how to start using faster broadband as soon as the connection is available in their home.
* Applies to more than 24,000 rental apartments in which SATO’s holding exceeds 50% and which are located in properties connected to Telia’s fiber optic network
