Two weeks after his knee surgery, Neuer completed his first running session this Monday. The goalkeeper is making good progress and could make his comeback much faster than expected. As “Sky” reporter Florian Plettenberg reports, Neuer will return to team training in the next ten days.

While the latest reports were circulating that the 35-year-old would play in the round of 16 second leg against RB Salzburg and would only be ready to play again after the international break at the end of March, according to Plettenberg things could go much faster. Accordingly, it cannot be ruled out that the goalkeeper will celebrate his comeback against Salzburg in the Allianz Arena on March 8th.
