Cus Genova results 19 and 20 February 2022
Mixed fortunes for college athletes over the past weekend. Defeat for Cus Rugby in men’s Serie A against Biella, as well as for the red and white tutored by Lions Tortona against Parabiago in women’s Serie A. Slow down the Cus Volley in men’s Serie B against the Nuova Volleyball San Giovanni in La Spezia, as well as the red and white engaged in Serie D against Audax. Well Cus Basket in Serie C Silver against Next Step Rapallo. Excellent start of 2022 for the sprinters Lugli and Gimelli in Parma, as well as for Ferrari in the Alà dei Sardi cross country.
Rugby
The men’s rugby national Serie A championship resumes. Sandri and Bernardini’s men were defeated 32-52 at the Carlini-Bollesan Stadium by the match against Biella, second in class in Group 1. Defeat also for the CUS Rugby girls, engaged in the national Serie A women’s championship as tutors to the Leoni Tortona. Good performance against group favorite, Parabiago, but lost 24-0 away. Double defeat for the two volleyball teams of CUS Genova. In the national Serie B championship a setback for Guido Costigliolo’s boys, overtaken by the New Volleyball San Giovanni in La Spezia for 3-0. Here results and standings. Basketball
Excellent victory for Cus Basket in Serie C Silver against an insidious team like Next Step Rapallo. Coach Pansolin boys able to get up after two consecutive defeats, also managing to overturn the 30-36 with which the two teams had gone to rest. Dragged by Vallefuoco, Bilamour and Dufour, the Biancorossi thus conquer two important points for the classification. Here results and standings.

Athletics
Saturday good indoor debut for Elisa Lugli and the young Lorenzo Gimelli on the 50 m indoor floors at the PalaLottici in Parma. Lugli third with 6 “87, Gimelli seventh with 6” 24. For the sprinters, followed by Graziella Rodonò, a positive start to 2022. On Sunday, however, Emanuele Ferrari is placed in second place among the juniors in the present Cross of Alà dei Sardi, a cross-country race held in the Sassari area. For the middle distance runner followed by Franco Giacobbe, part of the Ligurian Under 20 selection, a good placement in the race.
