Prosecutor prosecutes members of neo-Nazi “Towards Freedom” group News

The Helsinki District Prosecutor has indicted five members of the neo-Nazi “Towards Freedom” group for ethnic incitement.

Päivinen stated that “Towards Freedom” has been active all over the country, including Helsinki, Jyväskylä, Pori, Kotka, Oulu, Vantaa and Vaasa. However, the payments only apply to events that took place in Tampere and Turku.
These latest charges against “Towards Freedom” members are similar last June, when prosecutors prosecuted nine men for their activities in a banned organization. The prosecutor claimed that “Towards Freedom” was the front line of the neo-Nazi group’s Nordic resistance movement (PVL). prohibited by the Supreme Court in 2020.
The prosecutor suspects that the Nordic resistance movement began to take shape “Towards Freedom” in the spring of 2019.
Details of the charges will be made public when the case begins in the Helsinki District Court.
The Central Criminal Police (NBI) began investigating “Towards Freedom” three years ago at the request of the Police Board.
