Lisbon’s new spots to order brunch throughout the week
Lisbon’s new spots to order brunch throughout the week
There are suggestions available at any time, others only on the weekend. There will be no shortage of ideas.
“We’ve been friends for several years and we always joked that one day we would have a brunch space. Against us we have the experience, but we have difficulty — it’s an adventure”, explained to NiT Santos, 33 years old. She is a member of Balthazar, one of the new cafes dedicated to late breakfast in Lisbon.
He joined his friends João Lopes and César Ferreira in this concept, which arrived in early January at Rua Viriato, in Lisbon. During the week, two menus designed for one person are always available. The Balthazar brunch combines orange juice, yogurt with granola, pancakes and eggs (€15.50); there is also a vegan menu with buckwheat pancakes and avocado toast (€16.50).
Like Balthazar, several spaces dedicated to this meal have opened in Lisbon in recent weeks. Most of them don’t even have to wait for Saturday and Sunday to go there. This is the case with Becot.
In this creperie, sweet and savory crepes are featured. If you can’t decide, it’s best to order brunch. It costs €12 and includes sweet and savory pancakes. Coffee and a sumo are also included.
Sundays are the only day you can experience an Akla proposal. The brunch menu at this restaurant near Parque Eduardo VII has been completely renovated. Another novelty is the fact that you can switch to all you can eat: pay 29€ and come with everything you want.
