Prime Minister Abiy holds talks with leaders from France, Germany, Sweden –
Addis Ababa 18 February 2022 (Walta) – Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed has discussed with the leaders of France, Germany and Sweden on the outskirts of the EU-AU summit to be held in Brussels.
Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed held a discussion with French President Emmanuel Macron, German Olaf Scholz and Swedish Prime Minister Magdalena Andersson in Brussels, Belgium, on bilateral and continental issues.
Prime Minister Abiy thanked President Emmanuel Macron for a fruitful dialogue on bilateral relations and continental issues.
The long-standing relationship between Ethiopia and France provides a solid foundation for future cooperation, the Prime Minister added.

In the same way, Abiy extended his appreciation to German Chancellor Olaf Scholz for the important deliberations on various issues of mutual interest.
Ethiopia appreciates the enormous development aid that Germany has extended so far and has a firm belief that cooperation will continue to be strengthened, he said.

Prime Minister Abiy also held discussions with Sweden’s Prime Minister Magdalena Andersson to further strengthen bilateral relations and cooperation between the two countries.

The sixth summit between the European Union and the African Union (AU-EU) has been held in Brussels to discuss ways to improve the AU-EU partnership with the highest political commitment and based on trust and a clear understanding of mutual interests.
