VENICE – Magic on the water in the Arsenale. A natural theater, an open sky, was the perfect setting for the first evening of “Solar Nebula“, an imaginative show proposed in the program of the events of Carnival 2022by title “Remember the future”. Tonight, Friday 18 February, the Venice Arsenal hosted the first of 9 events featuring water games and, with two reruns a day. Under the direction of Anton Bonura with the contribution of “Opera Fiammae” and “Viorica”, “Nebula Solaris” proposes an evocative scenario, in which the fundamental elements of water, earth and fire merge and create, as the curators also explain, “imaginative visions of submerged worlds and future civilizations”.
Tribute to the city
“Nebula Solaris” is a tribute to Venice and its 1600 years of history: the show on the water, which is the element with which the city has created its most intimate bond, is the result of a composite work, with performances from alive and technology. To perform in what was once the seat of the navy of the Serenissima, fire movement companies to other original interpreters who work together in Italy and abroad: a total of nineteen panorama artists for eleven boats set up with refined scenographies. “Nebula Solaris” will be staged twice a day for a total of nine evenings: it will be repeated tomorrow, Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 February and from Thursday 24 February to Tuesday 1 March with two daily performances at 6.45pm and 9.15pm.
