From Monday off to the construction site for the upper part of via San Martino: six months of work, free parking spaces and free for pedestrians and bicycles – Trento
TRENTO. Next Monday, 21 February, the redevelopment works of the northern section of via San Martino will start. It will be transformed into a street with a wide sidewalk, a cycle path, and a central lane for cars: to do this, the current parking spaces will be eliminated.
The works include the reconstruction of the white water network, some sections of the black water network and the pavement with porphyry cubes. The estimated time for carrying out the works is 180 days.
The construction site will proceed in phases and for the entire duration of the works, the sections of via San Martino not affected by the construction site will be passable by residents and front users with vehicles in both directions and a ban on parking and stopping will be instituted along the entire road. Access to pedestrians will always be guaranteed for the duration of the work on housing and activities.
It begins with a preparatory intervention to remake the grafting of white water into the Pontara canal, so it will be necessary to completely close the access from via Manzoni to via San Martino and via Pontara. The intervention on the road will last about five days and in this intersection the uphill walkability of via Pontara will be guaranteed for cars by accessing from via della Predara; the left turn will be allowed only for this period. Via San Martino will be accessible by vehicles in both directions of travel only by residents and front-holders by accessing from Via Torre d’Augusto and there will be a ban on parking and stopping along the entire road.
Phase 1: stretch of via San Martino from the intersection with via Pontara to the civic court 11, home to the medical clinics. Via San Martino will be accessible by vehicles in both directions of travel only by residents and front-holders by accessing from Via Torre d’Augusto and there will be a ban on parking and stopping along the entire road.
Phase 2: intervention on via Torre d’Augusto. Via Torre d’Augusto will always be accessible by vehicles in both directions with alternating one-way traffic. Via San Martino will be accessible in both directions for residents and front-holders only by accessing from Via Manzoni and a ban on parking and stopping will be established along the entire road.
Phase 3: stretch of via San Martino from the intersection with via Torre d’Augusto up to the civic court 11, home to the medical clinics. Via San Martino will be accessible by vehicles in both directions of travel only by residents and front-holders by accessing from via Manzoni at the beginning and, as the works proceed towards street number 11, both from via Manzoni and via Torre d’Augusto and will be established the prohibition of parking and stopping along the entire road.
Each single phase will be completed with its flooring.
