16 songs qualify for the final of the Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2022
After yesterday’s semi-final, sixteen songs qualified for the final of the Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2022. The result was announced today as part of a special event of the contest, where we saw performances by this year’s contestants. and by former Eurovision representatives of Malta.

- Janice Mangion – Army
- Nicole Hammett – Heart of Lovers
- Nicole Azzopardi – Into the Fire
- Richard Edwards – Hey Little
- Jade – Revelation
- Emma Muscat – Out of sight
- Miriana Conte – Look What You Did Now
Twenty-two songs competed in the semifinals and sixteen were voted on. Another song will reach the final after the Maltese public will be able to vote for a wildcard from the eliminated acts.

The final of the Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2022 will take place tomorrow, 19 February. The winner will represent Malta in the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 in Turin, Italy. Malta is expected to compete in the second semi-final of the competition on 12 May. Malta will perform in the first half of the show.
It has been a bumpy ride for Malta in the Eurovision Song Contest in recent years. Last year Destiny brought the island to the finals with “Je me casse” and finished seventh in the grand final. In 2019 also the country qualified for the final when Michela represented Malta with “Chameleon”. However, the country failed to qualify in 2017 and 2018.
