Trading relaxed via 3G from Saturday
corona
The CoV rules are being relaxed further: since Saturday, unvaccinated people with a negative CoV test have been allowed to go back to shops, museums, libraries or to the hairdresser. In any case, the Salzburg trade is about the easing, because there is a loss of more than one hundred million euros.
The 2G rule has been in effect in shops since mid-December, and since January the green passport has also had to be checked by retailers themselves. This now results in an enormous loss and additional personnel costs for the dealers, described Johann Höflmaier from the trade division in the Salzburg Chamber of Commerce. It is about a loss of purchasing power and sales of more than 100 million euros: “Of course, you also have to consider what else did I trigger with this 2G rule? The drift into the online area – that was almost a support program for this segment. These customers also have to be won back first,” says Höflmaier.
Customers’ potential for aggression increased every week
In addition, increasingly aggressive customers would threaten the employees, confirmed Höflmaier. This is a permanent condition and has increased with each week. “The scenarios have intensified.”
Relaxation also at hairdressers and museums
The 3G rule has also applied to hairdressers, libraries and museums since Saturday. The exception is the gastronomy, which will only open to everyone in a week. At events, the upper limit for people falls, but 2G and the FFP2 mask remain inside and outside. Events for more than 50 people without assigned seats are only permitted if there is a ban on consumption and the FFP2 mask is therefore worn at all times.
