Hospital doctors complain about death threats from opponents of vaccination – Salzburg
Death threats, damage to property and the like – the Salzburg state clinics are complaining about attacks by opponents of vaccination.
In the Salzburg state clinics things are going haywire again. Due to the many omicron failures, an acute shortage of staff is noticeable, in some cases & patients are already being turned away because there is no longer a bed available. Since the peak of the wave that has just been overcome is only two weeks late in the healthcare system, the situation can become even more tense.
Even off duty, employees currently have it anything but easy. As with the overloading of the normal and intensive care units, one of the main reasons is the opposition to vaccination. Managing director Paul Sungler reports in “salzburg.orf.at”.
New access system
Security guards should also be on duty in the hospitals, and in an emergency the police WILL be notified immediately. A specially set up access system makes it possible that only employees and patients are accessible. One has become more careful, so Sungler.
Some opponents of vaccination have a “delusional perception of information” that is “not scientifically verifiable,” adds Christoph Fürthauer, spokesman for the resident doctors. Holger Förster, vaccination officer at the Salzburg Medical Association, stopped the online rating platform because of the verbal attacks.
