The Paralympic president of Portugal, José Lourenço, leads the current list of agency elections for the leadership of the body, scheduled for March 16, he told Lusa today.

The CPP’s management structure is composed of five vice-presidents – positions currently held by Luís Figueiredo, Leila Marques, Carlos Lopes, Sandro Araújo and Filipe Revelo -, two members, a secretary-general and a treasurer.
Created in 2008, the CPP was chaired by Humberto Santos, who left office in January 2017 and was replaced for three months by Fausto Pereira, however defeated by José Lourenço in the elections in March of that year.
The Paralympic Games were also held in March 2021, but were postponed for a year due to the 19-19 pandemic, which postponed the Tokyo ‘2020 Paralympic Games to the summer of 2021.
During the next term, the CPP board will have to organize the missions to the Deaflympic Games, which will take place in Brazil in 2022, and to the Paris ‘2024 Paralympic Games.
