San Marino. Charity initiative under the banner of Manuel Poggiali
On November 3, 2001 at the Jacarepaguá Circuit in Rio de Janeiro, Manuel Poggiali won his first World Title in the 125cc class. In 2003 Manuel also won the 250cc World Title.
Massimo Rastelli wrote “MANUEL POGGIALI – Story of a champion”, AIEP Editore (2021) to remember those times and tell the immense talent of the San Marino driver. The story of a shy, fragile and at the same time strong and determined boy when he gets on the bike. The story of the human story of him: the victories, the defeats, the successes and the crisis. The people who have been close to him and those who have been missing, the early retirement from competitions.
Roberto Marchioni of Starline, the best-known MotoGP designer, created the graphics for a celebratory t-shirt for the 20th anniversary of the first title.
The proceeds from the sale of books and T-shirts will be donated to the San Marino for the Children non-profit Association which for fifteen years has been carrying out projects aimed at promoting education for the poorest and most marginalized children in Malawi.
It will be possible to buy the book at the COSMO LIBRARY (Via XXVIII Luglio n.160 – Borgo Maggiore – RSM) and at the OFFICINA DEL CAPELLO (Via Giangi n.62 – Dogana – RSM).
It will be possible to buy the t-shirt at SESTAMARCIA (Via Cinque February n.142 – Domagnano RSM).
