3 associations of Naples awarded by Unicredit
The third edition of Call for Regions, a solidarity initiative in support of associations and projects in favor of children, promoted by the UniCredit Foundation and implemented with the support of UniCredit through the Carta E.

Born in 2005, the “Carta E” project provides that two per thousand of the expenses made by customers who use “Etiche” credit cards go to feed, without any charge to the cardholder, a specific Fund whose funds are destined to solidarity projects carried out by non-profit organizations.

In this edition, 25 projects of which
- 12 particular attention to health and disability,
- 6 to education and training,
- 7 to inclusion.
Among the winners the following associations of Naples:
CELUS Luigi Scrosoppi ETS Educational Center, with the “Coro Millecolori” project, an inter-ethnic choir of children and young people, Roma and Neapolitans, from the most marginal areas of the Scampia district, created to provide support for the human and cultural growth of children through music education.
CORA Onlus Association, with the “La Porta dei Dreams” project, which is part of the broader recovery plan of the Forcella territory, carried out by L’Altra Napoli Onlus, and provides within the green spaces of the Complex of the Disciplina della Santa Croce, in the redevelopment phase, the organization of playful-recreational workshops for the children of the neighborhood to create awareness paths on environmental protection, education in reading and legality, which involves the direct involvement of families.
Italian Union of the Blind and Visually Impaired Onlus Aps – territorial section of Naples, with the project “Eye to children” provides for the realization of eye screening for 500 pupils aged 3 to 13 years of a school in a suburb of the city of Naples, in collaboration with the AOU Eye Clinic of Campania L. Vanvitelli.
“The third edition of the Call for Regions initiative recorded great interest and participation from third sector entities that presented important child protection projects, deeply inserted in the realities in which UniCredit operates and able to provide concrete support to younger sections of the population”, Explains Maurizio Beretta, President of UniCredit Foundation.
The Call for Regions initiative, also in 2021, was made possible thanks to the collaboration of UniCredit employees of the Regions, the seven organizational structures of the Bank present in Italy (North West, Lombardy, North East, Center North, Center, South and Sicily ) and appointed to manage relations with the territories, understanding the needs and sensitivities of local communities.
