Sarabia didn’t get along with Pochettino
For his part, Pablo Sarabia spoke to the Portuguese media ADN de Leao. Revealing that his complicated relationship with Mauricio Pochettino was one of the causes of his departure. “The opportunity to come to Sporting presented itself three days before the market closed. Before, I had changed my way of thinking. That is to say ‘I am in Paris and suddenly…’. I thought it was the right time to leave PSG, I wasn’t happy with injuries and I didn’t have a good feeling with the coach. I ended up leaving to feel important again”.
Before praising the collective virtues found at Sporting Lisbon, which was therefore not really the priority within PSG … “In the end, they are very good (at PSG), we cannot all play . They are players with great and long careers. Everyone has their share of ego… but it’s different. The ego in Paris was football, because there was a good atmosphere between us. You had to face the matches, it was more competitive than the staff. Here the coach talks about the team, it’s a virtue, everything is done with this mentality. No one stands out from the others, ”points out the former Parisian winger.
