Sweden releases all travel restrictions from Denmark
For over two years now, people who live in Copenhagen but work in Malmö (and vice versa) have been forced to endure all possible measures when commuting to work.
But all this will be a memory only from tomorrow, as the Swedish government has abolished all travel restrictions for travelers moving into the country from Denmark, the Nordic countries and the rest of the EU.
“For the people who work in our border areas in the Nordic region, this will mean a huge relief,” This is what Sweden’s Minister for Foreign Trade Anna Hallberg tells TT.
Hallberg said that the Swedish health authority has judged that the strict rules for travelers no longer serve a rational purpose.

A real annoyance
Sweden has followed Denmark’s leadership when it comes to releasing coronary restrictions in the country and reopening society.
Thousands of people in Denmark and Sweden commute across the border every day to work in Copenhagen and Skåne.
Until tomorrow, everyone who crosses the Swedish border has had to produce a digital corona passport or similar that proves that they have been vaccinated. In addition, a COVID-19 test result from the last 72 hours has also been required.
Only transit passengers moving through Sweden between Bornholm and Zealand have been excluded.
The news comes with the winter break approaching the horizon – a time when many from Denmark travel north to Sweden to go out on the ski slopes.
Individuals outside the Nordic region and the EU are still prohibited from entering Sweden until at least 31 March.
