Game against Bayern: Salzburg can fully utilize the stadium
Berlin – The Austrian football series champion Red Bull
Salzburg is allowed to play in front of a full audience in the first leg of the Champions League against FC Bayern Munich.
Up to 30,000 fans can return to their home Red Bull Arena on February 16 (9 p.m.), the club announced. This is possible because on Tuesday the federal government lifted the upper limit for open-air events from February 12th, which means that the stadium can be used to capacity.
“We are very pleased that a meaningful and responsible solution was found shortly before this historic Austrian game,” said RBS Managing Director Stephan Reiter. “It’s not just about football, but about many other events that – mainly because they are held in the open air and in combination with other security measures – mean almost no risk.”
