Hot coffee poured in the face – federal police intervene
Cologne (ots) –
On February 5, 2022, a 37-year-old man from Cologne threw his hot morning coffee in a woman’s face. According to witnesses, he was probably upset that the 33-year-old was in his way. The federal police at Cologne Central Station reported the man for dangerous bodily harm.
At around 8:20 a.m., two officers at the main train station were informed that a woman was blocking the cleaning process because she was in the middle of the station passage and the work could not be carried out as a result. However, apparently under the influence of alcohol, she kept falling asleep. Officers were addressing the situation when a witness approached them and pointed out that the woman had been doused with a drink just a short time earlier. The uninvolved 53-year-old saw how a man standing nearby, who had previously poured hot coffee in the woman’s face after she had not complied with his requests to get up. In fact, on closer inspection, the woman’s face was red. An ambulance called and took the 33-year-old dazed woman to a hospital for further treatment. The officials initiated criminal proceedings against the suspect from Cologne for dangerous bodily harm.
