Steffen Baumgart goes crazy in the living room – crazy video
You know Cologne coach Steffen Baumgart in the Bundesliga screaming and gesticulating on the sidelines. A video of his daughter Emilia now shows: At home he is no different.
In an almost one-minute compilation, which went viral after it was published on “TikTok”, you can see the coach, who was unable to attend the game against SC Freiburg (1-0) due to a positive corona test, with his family in front of the television . But instead of following the game in peace and quiet, Baumgart temporarily converts the living room into a coaching zone.
“They should play forward, even if they get three,” he apparently calls to someone from his coaching team over the cell phone. “I have to yell at someone.” Apparently, he yells at a Freiburg player in front of the TV: “Get your ass up. You cry every time.”
A normal Saturday at Baumgarts on the sofa 😉

Steffen Baumgart: Dog tries to calm him down – unsuccessfully
Shortly after the final whistle, defender Timo Hübers expressed the hope that “everything would be okay” at Baumgart’s home. The video raised at least slight doubts about that. In the end, however, it was probably only Baumgart’s nerves that were affected – and those of the dog Jory, who tried to calm his master with all means, but ultimately unsuccessfully. In contrast, Emilia and Katja Baumgart remained completely calm and were not even startled when the FC coach got louder again.
After all, Baumgart was able to relax about a minute before the end of the Sky broadcast. “He had a time delay of about 50 seconds,” reveals sporting director Jörg Jakobs with a laugh: “That’s why he was in radio contact with our people at the last minute. When the news of the final whistle came, he was able to watch the last 50 seconds at least in a relaxed manner. We all gave him that.”
The success put 1. FC Köln within striking distance of the Champions League places, which are only two points away – and all without Steffen Baumgart. His representative André Pawlak assured: “The processes are easy to use, consolidated over weeks and months. Of course, Steffen’s emotionality is missing. But the team showed that they can do it without Steffen.” Also because the otherwise level-headed Pawlak let himself out a bit more. “André was already hoarse at the break,” reported defender Timo Hübers: “I had to smile. He probably tried to do the same as Steffen Baumgart.” Who knows: maybe we’ll see a living room video by André Pawlak soon.
