FC Wacker Innsbruck: The next two “young Wacker-Wilden” for Oenning-Team – 2nd league
the FC Wacker Innsbruck announces the winter newcomers numbers four and five within a few days, starting this Sunday. The Tyrolean talents are returning to the traditional club. 18-year-old Felix Mandl is coming back on loan (incl. purchase option) until the end of the season from league competitor FC Juniors OÖ to bottom of the table in the Admiral 2nd league. The 17-year-old Tizian Valentino Scharmer, who was last in the academy with assignments, will also be integrated into the training of the professional around neo-head coach Michael Oenning with immediate effect.
Felix Mandl (top photo), born on June 5, 2003, comes from the youth team of TSV Fulpmes. Through the FC Wacker Innsbruck juniors, the centre-forward made the leap to the Tirol Academy, where the current ÖFB U-18 team squad players went through all age groups. In winter 2020 he returned to the traditional Tyrolean club, where the 1.77 meter tall Tyrolean made his first appearances in the second division. Last summer he moved to the Juniors Oberösterreich, for which he made five short appearances (a total of 39 minutes) in the second division in the past autumn season.
Tizian Valentino Scharmer, born on February 13, 2004, comes from the offspring of FC Wacker Innsbruck. The native of Innsbruck managed a transfer to the German Bundesliga club TSG 1899 Hoffenheim via the Tirol Academy. In the summer of 2021, the ÖFB U18 midfielder (three appearances for “Rot-Weiß-Rot”) returned to FC Wacker Innsbruck and gained match practice in AKA Tirol.

Selcuk Cosun (Sport and Finance Wacker): “It was our goal to increasingly integrate young Tyrolean talents into the professional department. With the return of Felix Mandl and Tizian Valentino Scharmer, we have succeeded in winning two promising talents back over to us. We want to build them up, show them perspectives and later, ideally, bind them to the club in the long term.”
Felix Mandl: “I am very happy that the return to my home club has come about. I feel the trust of those responsible and now it’s up to me to prove myself. I will do my best to get as much playing time as possible.”
Titian Valentino Scharmer: “I am happy to be part of the professional department from now on. I want to take this opportunity and establish myself in professional football and take off!”
