At around 12:25 p.m. on February 5, there was one Avalanche with one injured and one killed.
The ski touring duo mediates in the ascent via the Sittersbachtal to the 2468 meter high Steintalhorndl. Approx. 150 meters below the summit – in very steep terrain – a massive slab of snow came loose and took the two Austrian ski tourers (61 and 41 years old) with it. The avalanche had one Crack width of approx. 400 metersa running length of about 870 meters with a difference in altitude of about 320 meters.
