We are therefore happy that a loan in the 3rd division worked out,” said Fortuna’s sporting director Klaus Allofs the Rheinische Post. “This league is a good intermediate step for Jamil and we will keep a close eye on his development over the next six months. We remain firmly convinced of Jamil and have therefore tied him to Fortuna for another year.”
Before his loan to Cologne, Siebert extended his contract in Düsseldorf until June 30, 2025. It has the club’s confidence in its homegrown talent to establish itself in the 2nd Bundesliga in the long term. Or higher, because Siebert is not a U20 national player for nothing, he is one of the greatest German talents in his position. At Viktoria he now has the chance to mature and play regularly at a high level.
