FC Wacker Innsbruck: Bundesliga talent on loan to the second division club from Tyrol – 2nd division
Fabio Markelic is on loan from the Bundesliga club until next summer Austria Klagenfurt to Tyrol. the FC Wacker Innsbruck, who stays bottom of the table in the Admiral 2nd league, also secures a purchase option for the 20-year-old Carinthian. Within a few hours, after Noah Lederer, the youngster is the second young winter signing for the team of neo-head coach Michael Oenning.
Fabio Markelic, born on August 9th, 2001 in Villach, began his footballing career in the youth team of SC Reichenau/Falkert. Later, the 1.80 meter tall midfielder went through all years of the Wolfsberger AC academy before he made the leap to professional football with Austria Klagenfurt.
In the past two years, the left-footed player has played 17 games in the second division, games in the Admiral Bundesliga and seven games in the ÖFB Cup for the Violettes from Carinthia, scoring one goal and preparing four more.
