LGT honored as best foreign private bank in Switzerland – Liechtenstein
ZURICH – The magazine “WealthBriefing” honored LGT Bank Switzerland as the best provider of sustainable investments and the best foreign private bank in Switzerland when it took part in the annual “Swiss Awards” for the first time.
At the “Ninth Annual WealthBriefing Swiss Awards 2022”, the internationally recognized financial magazine “Wealth-Briefing” honored the best wealth managers and financial service providers in Switzerland. LGT Bank Switzerland received two awards at the same time: According to a broadcast by LGT, it was named the best bank for “ESG” (environmental, social, governance) for its offering and its efforts in sustainable investments. On the other hand, it asserted itself as the best foreign private bank in Switzerland over numerous competitors.
The 11-strong jury chose LGT Bank Switzerland primarily because of its expertise in sustainable investments. In addition, the company has played into the cards that it is committed to reducing its net emissions to zero by 2030. «We have been integrating sustainability aspects into our systems for more than 15 years. With our expertise, we can now transparently show our customers how sustainable their investments are and offer them attractive investments in companies that solve ecological or social challenges,” Heinrich Henckel, CEO of LGT Bank Switzerland, is quoted as saying in the press release.
LGT strongly positioned in Switzerland
LGT Bank Switzerland, with its parent company in Liechtenstein and its branches in Basel, Bern, Geneva, Lugano and Zurich, has set the ownership structure apart from its competitors. With its presence in Switzerland, its customer offering and the combination of wealth and investment management, it has secured the title of best foreign private bank. According to the announcement, the jury also emphasized the unique market positioning – the opportunity to invest together with the Liechtenstein princely family. “We have greatly expanded our presence, especially in the last ten years, and have more than doubled our assets to almost 50 billion Swiss francs,” says Henckel, CEO of LGT Bank Switzerland.
