A 8 in the direction of Salzburg – Proven in the control of several criminal offenses
On Sunday, January 30, 2022, around 11:30 a.m., Munich traffic police officers checked an Opel car on the A 8 towards Salzburg near Brunnthal. During the check, the driver, a 30-year-old resident of North Rhine-Westphalia, presented a Croatian driver’s license, which the officials immediately recognized as a total forgery. As a result, the forgery was secured. Another check showed that the 30-year-old was banned from driving.
His co-driver, a 27-year-old also residing in North Rhine-Westphalia, voluntarily hands over a small amount of narcotics. Afterwards, they tried to throw something out of the car in an apparently unnoticed moment. The officials could observe this. They then found more narcotics in a sock as well as the consumption of the narcotics.
Both the driver and his passenger were arrested. For a further search of the vehicle, it was towed to a Munich police station.
Another search with a narcotics detection dog leads to objects that are related to the consumption and possibly sale of narcotics. Furthermore, several vaccination cards were found, which were issued to the two inmates as well as to people who were not present. At least two of these vaccination cards show signs of forgery and were confiscated. In addition, the officers discovered a blue light front flasher, an analog radio, a banned telescopic baton and a police jacket in the vehicle. All of these items were also secured. Further investigations into this are still ongoing.
Due to drug-related abnormalities, the 30-year-old should be taken to have blood drawn. In doing so, he put up massive resistance, which could only be stopped by the use of direct force. After the blood was taken, he and his passenger were transferred to the detention center of the Munich police headquarters.
On Monday, January 31, 2022, both were brought before an investigating judge who issued arrest warrants.
The two suspects were reported, among other things, because of the forgery of documents, the narcotics offences, driving without a license and resisting law enforcement officers.
The Munich traffic police and the criminal police have taken over the investigation.
