A renewed one collaboration on safety issues, to prevent and combat together in a strategic way the possible territorial emergencies of the future. This is what emerges from the cordial meeting which took place Wednesday morning between the Secretary of State for Internal Affairs Elena Tonnini, the Secretary of State for the Territory and the Environment Stefano Canti and the new Commander of the Rimini Fire Brigade, Eng. Piergiacomo Chancellor. The visit, a few months after the appointment, confirms this close bond of friendship and collaboration between the Fire Brigade and the San Marino authorities.
The Civil Police Command – in the figure of Commander Werter Selva and Inspector Athos Gattei – and the Head of the San Marino Civil Protection, Eng. Pietro Falcioni. All parties in the field have confirmed the intention of undertake an increasingly fruitful collaboration in terms of safety and prompt interventionwith particular attention to the issues of the formation and renewal of the San Marino fire prevention legislation, of which the latest text of the law is dated 1985.
Before the meeting with the institutional representatives, Eng. Piergiacomo Chancellor paid a visit to the headquarters of the San Marino Civil Police, engaging in a long dialogue not only with the Central Command, but also with Professor. Roberto Mugavero, Director and Director of the University Security Training Center of the University of San Marino. The meeting then concluded with a visit to the fleet of emergency vehicles supplied to the Civil Police.
Elena Tonnini (Secretary of State for Internal Affairs): “The meeting with the new Commander of the Rimini Fire Brigade is a precious opportunity to renew and strengthen the existing collaboration relationship. The experience of the Fire-fighting section of the Civil Police and the joint work with the Italian counterparts translates, in practice, into a more effective system in guaranteeing prevention and management of any emergencies for the benefit of everyone’s safety.
Stefano Canti (Secretary of State for the Territory and the Environment): “I believe that today’s visit is part of the perspective of ever closer collaboration between our authorities. The Republic of San Marino can only express full gratitude for those who over the years have defended the safety of its citizens, promptly intervening in situations of danger. I hope that this meeting will be the basis for a collaboration in the new meeting, as soon as possible, in accordance with a San Marino fire prevention regulation, which is firm at present until 1985 “.
Piergiacomo Chancellor (Commander of the Rimini Fire Brigade): “I found a very important welcome in the Republic of San Marino and breathed a full openness to the issues of safety and innovation in this field. What struck me is the desire for a cultural and professional growth of the bodies on this issue and the collaboration with the University cannot be strategic to achieve these objectives.
