San Marino. February 12 is drug collection day
The drug collection day will take place on Saturday 12 February, in collaboration with Banco Farmaceutico Onlus.
The initiative, now in its twelfth edition in the Republic, is promoted by the Institute for Social Security through the Pharmaceutical Service and enjoys the High Patronage of the Regency and the Patronage of the State Congress.
The pharmacies involved are those of Serravalle, Cailungo and Borgo Maggiore and the drugs that can be donated – upon purchase – are those without a prescription and already prepared in the dedicated displays.
This year also in the pharmacies of San Marino, as has already happened in the nearby Italian Republic for a couple of years, in consideration of the increase in the demand for medicines by many users who find themselves in economic difficulties, the collection begins from February 8th and will last until February 12th included.
During the whole day of Saturday 12 February, in addition to the staff on shift in the pharmacies, there will also be 3 pharmacists, also engaged in the collection, who are added to the approximately 80 volunteers who will take turns, for shifts of one hour each, to inform and support users in choosing the products to donate.
The organization will be dedicated to safety and compliance with anti Covid-19 rules.
Over the years, the Titano pharmacies have positioned themselves at the top of the over 4,900 Italian pharmacies participating in the Banco Farmaceutico initiative, recording a continuous increase in the collection of medicines, confirming the particular sensitivity and generosity of the San Marino citizens. The drugs collected in this way were completely distributed, an unequivocal sign of the growing difficulty and need of the many families who requested them.
All the packages of medicines collected, as in the past, will be destined for Caritas San Marino-Montefeltro.
The ISS therefore, in addition to being proud to re-propose an initiative aimed at supporting the most adherent families in difficulty in our territory, invites all the population to go on Saturday 12 February to one of the 3 pharmacies at the initiative during opening hours (8 – 19.30) for a donation to those who need it most.
