Ricardo Oliveira’s candidacy made official
Necessary documentation was delivered to Rogério Alves
The one listed by Ricardo Oliveira, of course, this Thursday, the candidacy and as candidate signatures – corresponding to the minimum of a thousand votes in the next elections for the governing bodies of Sporting Clube de Portugal, 5 March.
The Conference Table was handed over to Rogério Alves President of Mandatory Carlos Anjos, in the Board of Directors’ room at Estádio José Alvalade, and will now be duly by MAG so that it can be validated.
Speaking to journalists in the VIP Hall of Alvalade, Carlos Anjos began by thanking the Partners who accepted the identity presented in this candidacy.
“I want to say a word to the Associates who gave us their signatures and signed Ricardo Oliveira’s candidacy. Thank you very much, because it is because of them that we are here. Without them, Sporting won’t try to fight for an ideal CP. We want this candidacy essentially for ideas and, of course, winning. Like the other candidates, we have a project for Sporting CP and we think ours is the best of the three. We came to enrich the debate and make this campaign a discussion between Sportinguistas”, said Carlos Anjos, before adding: “This is not a campaign against anyone, we are only in favor of Sporting CP. Let’s play with our ideas”.
Regarding the conclusion of the signatures, the representative of the list revealed that this process was even “easier than expected”.
“On about every day and exceeded, we gather the signatures down to the minimum number. It seems to me that, at this moment, the only thing that Sportinguistas want is to discuss a project for the Club and that each candidate offers. Democracy is always richer when there are multiple candidates, there is nothing sadder than a single candidate. All are Sportinguistas, with a lot of class and category, and the only thing they want is to challenge Sporting CP and make it a better Club, even more winners than it is at the moment”.
As for the focus of this candidacy of Frederico Varandas e Nu, Carlos Anjo was distinguished by this list that distinguishes the focus of this candidacy from Sporting and the CP that distinguished “the management of this candidacy of Sporting and CP”.
“We cannot want to compete in sports management because we are winning. We do as much as we can in a team that doesn’t win, neither in football nor in amateur sports. This is because we are winning everywhere. As for the management of the Club, we have new ideas that Ricardo will compete with everyone. He will present himself to the game with his ideas so that Sportinguistas know that they can count on one more Partner with everything to give”, uncovering a little or a theoretical list regarding the central questions that a debater wants.
“Our ideas focus on innovating in the management and financial issue of Sporting CP. In Portugal, football has financial problems and each club has its problems. Sporting CP also has its own, which have to do with SAD issues such as VMOCs, revenues and the way we manage the Club. It is something for the presidents of the lists to contest in the debate”.
Carlos Anjos also made a point of leaving a word about Eduardo Hilário, partner number 1 of the emblem of Alvalade who passed away this Thursday, at the age of 97. “It is a day of regret for Sporting CP. Member number 1 of the Club, Eduardo Hilário, who was 97 years old and 96 as an Associate, died. It happened that we came to deliver the signatures on this sad day”, he lamented.
