President of Slovenia visits Portugal between 14 and 15 February
The President of Slovenia, Borut Pahor, will visit Portugal between 14 and 15 February, it was announced this Thursday in a joint statement that marks 30 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
Last May, the President of the Republic of Sousa, Marcelo Rebe de Sousa, paid an official visit to Slovenia, during the qualification of his counterpart, Borut Pahor, to Portugal.
This Thursday, the two heads of state sign a joint statementnot disclosed official presidency website on the Internet, on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Portuguese Republic and the Republic of Slovenia, on February 3, 1992.
“Over the last three series, we have witnessed the progressive and continuous development and consolidation of the bonds of fraternal friendship that unite us, based on common values and interests, specifically designated in the European sphere and in the search for increased cooperation, both bilaterally and at the global level. international and multilateral European level”, reads the text.
Marcelo Rebelo young people from So Borut Pahor are sure that “also as more future generations of Portuguese will project and reinforce, and for the common European future, with special determination and charm, a relationship that comes in a consubstantiation and inspiration friendship between our two nations”.

Slovenia took over in the second half of the Council of the European Union, after Portugal, about a month after Rebelo de Sousa.
