Health, collaboration agreement signed between the Republic of San Marino and the Sicily Region
Ciavatta: “A first step towards the goal of increasing the authority of the San Marino system and thus becoming an attractive option for healthcare professionals and a coveted destination for patients”.
A wide-ranging cooperation in all socio-health sectors, passing from collective prevention in the living and working places to research and technological innovation, from the fight against infectious diseases to the creation of a program of scientific and training collaboration, as well as of activities exchange of research personnel, students and professionals operating in their respective territories. These are the contents of the collaboration agreement signed this morning between the Republic of San Marino and the Sicilian Region, in the figures of the Secretary of State for Health and Social Security Roberto Ciavatta and the Councilor for Health of the Sicilian Region Avv . Ruggero Razza.
The parties will also undertake to seek forms of collaboration within the programs and participation in European Union calls dedicated to the health sector. More specifically, the agreement reached will allow participation in technical discussions of the respective technical-administrative structures, aimed at:
- development of a health and social information system;
- protect the health of the population in the living and working places, with particular regard to the prevention and control of communicable and non-communicable diseases, food safety and common strategies to promote correct lifestyles;
- foster research, experimentation and innovation, developing, in compliance with reciprocal regulations on the subject, synergies in the clinical therapeutic field – including advanced biological – socio-health and management-related therapies.
The collaboration can be concretely implemented in multiple ways: scientific and integral research activities, exchange of scientific and educational expert publications and documentation, organization of meetings and seminars, exchange of administrators in the health sector and medical and sector health professionals. All expenses resulting from the implementation of the agreement are found in the budgets of the parties.
