court of Pisa files the complaints
Pisa, “The criminal offense of defamation cannot be considered in any way”. This is the fundamental assumption on the basis of which the judge rejected the appeal made by the lawyers of Roberto Naldi, CEO of Tuscany Airportsagainst the dismissal, already by the PM, against Ciccio Auletta of the left-wing coalition “Rights in common” of Pisa and Massimo Torelli, municipal councilor of Florence Città Aperta.
The same defendants announced this in a press release, explaining, quoting the same words of the judge, that what they affirmed that led to the complaints falls within the “legitimate exercise of the right to criticize”. In particular, “the critical observations regarding the choices and behaviors of Corporacion America Italia spa and Toscana Aeroporti spa companies are fully legitimate in terms of having significant repercussions on workers destined for Pisa and the community on the local community as a whole”.
“In other words, the judge confirmed what the PM had already argued: the groundlessness of Toscana Aeroporti’s accusations – reads the joint statement by the municipal councilor Ciccio Auletta of the coalition of” Common Rights “of Pisa and Massimo Torelli, spokesman for Firenze Città Aperta – This is a very heavy and no-appeal defeat for this company, which also includes the Tuscany Region and the Municipalities of Pisa and Florence among its members ”.
