Ines de Bruyn
Following a course in classical music, notably at the Maîtrise de Radio France, it was while working at France Culture that she discovered radiophonic creation. A whole sound universe then opens up, another form of music, freer.
Since 2013 she has been investing in the field of electroacoustic music where the score is a recorder, the instruments are microphones and the notes are sometimes creaking doors or drops of water.
After rather acousmatic work, she is now seeking to find a gesture that engages the body live, without a computer, with microphones, a few instruments (shruti box, blowtorch, spring box, etc.), effects pedals, and her voice present in vocalizes as an instrument. The choice of these objects composes a more or less portable instrumentarium which allows a sensory and improvised approach to music, where the fragility of the moment is at the center of these attempts.
She is also the phonic half of PaintFonics and produces with Nathalie Sabah for the images, animated videos broadcast during electroacoustic concert screenings.
His compositions are part of contemporary questions, migrations, acceleration of time, memory of places, infra-ordinary, relationship to the body…
